Pratia pedunculata - We all need classy yet tough groundcover so here’s Pratia pedunculata, a particularly lovely one that forms a carpet of tiny green leaves and in the warmer months produces beautiful tiny white flowers.
This ground cover is also known as Trailing Pratia or the Matted Pratia and it’s perfect in-between pavers, stepping stones, or as a lawn alternative in low traffic areas. You can step on her a bit, but not too much.
She also perks up the edges of a planted container and looks a dream in hanging baskets or a window box. She’s versatile, oh-so-pretty and you’ll grow to love the way she fills in gaps, fights weeds, and protects against soil erosion without taking over.
She’s so easy to grow too; we knew you’d like her! Plant out in sun to partial shade in any type of soil. Make sure she isn’t drowned or in boggy conditions and you’ll have a spreading ground cover that just keeps going.
