Pitcairnia Sanguinea – 85mm

Pitcairnia sanguinea is a Bromeliad that can handle more shade and moisture than the usual Bromeliads. With broad green leaves with a red underside this plant is great for adding colour to your tropical garden or balcony. 

This baby has a soft curling type leaf and will also happily grow indoors, just remember she doesn’t like wet feet so we recommend you use a Sustee to avoid any rotting of roots.

• What to use me for: Great in a pot on the balcony or in a tropical garden

• I grow to: 80cm high, 60cm wide 

• Where to place me: I like part shade – full shade. I can handle morning sun just not all day sun 

• Watering conditions: I like damp but not soggy soil so you only need to water me once or twice a week

• Soil Conditions: I love a well draining soil
