Philodendron Elegans is also known as the skeleton key plant due to it’s long-fingered and notched leaves.
If you’re a fan of foliage you’ll fall in love with these dark, glossy green fingers that bring texture and a pop of the healthy outdoors to your home.
In fact, philodendrons are on NASA’s shortlist of the best air-purifying plants – surely you can’t get a better endorsement than that!
Elegans is a shady character who doesn’t like full sun on his large fingered leaves, so choose a shady border or keep him inside away from direct sunlight.
He’ll do well in lower light positions than others and only needs water when the potting mix is dry down to a few centimetres. See more tips on indoor plant care on our blog.
Elegans is faster growing than other philodendrons and he requires very little effort to keep him glossy, healthy and bushy. He’s a great tropical plant for indoor pots, balconies, and gardens.
