Loropetalum “White Fringe Flower”
Loropetalum Chinense White is much more widely known as the White Fringe Flower.
This is a really pretty, but extremely hardy, evergreen shrub with oval-shaped and slightly hairy olive-green foliage. The richly coloured foliage emerges blushed burgundy and from winter’s end to springtime clusters of ivory-white fringed flowers almost entirely cover the foliage. Ă‚Â
The potential height of two metres means White Fringe Flower is spot-on as a screen or flowering evergreen hedge. It’s easy to manage because the Loropetalum Chinense genus is most tolerant of hard pruning and one of the preferred species for use in Bonsai culture.
If you’re feeling creative team up with her sister Loropetalum Chinense China Pink. Try planting each variety in groups of three when alternating and it will definitely give your garden the WOW factor.
Oh, you’re wondering about soils and hardiness? Well, she’ll tolerate a wide range of soils and is very hardy indeed. All good news.
