Ficus Elastica Shivereana

Ficus Elastica Shivereana is a classy rubber plant with light-green and pinky-orange speckled leaves. It’s pretty rare, but we’ve managed to find some.

Pop her on your desk, brighten the bookcase and bring some life into the bedroom. Shivereana suits every room in the house and likes bright light, but be careful not to place her in direct sunlight or she’ll burn.

Shivereana is easy to care for. Plant her up in free-draining soil and only water when the soil is dry down to a few centimetres. Wipe the leaves down if they get dusty and that’s it. Yes, really! Read our blog if you need any more help with Ficus Shivereana care.

If you notice colours have faded she needs a bit more light. Put her closer to a window and she’ll be back to her full glory in no time.

• What to use me for: A houseplant like no other with amazing colours
• I grow to: I’ll reach a few metes high depending on how much pot room I have. In the garden, I can get crazily big.
• Where to place me:  Bright but indirect sunlight, please. Warning – my roots can get invasive so keeping me in a pot is a good idea.
• Soil Conditions:  Well-drained soil and not too much watering, please. 

*Please note if planted in the natural ground these plants grow very large and have invasive roots so we recommend keeping it in a pot.
