Archontophoenix Cunninghamiana

The Archontophoenix cunninghamiana is the classic native Australian Bangalow Palm that is an essential plant for any tropical garden. This palm has one long, slender stem reaching up to 30m in height with large green arching fronds on top. In the warmer months, the palm produces little red berries and white flowers which the birds and bees love.

• What to use me for: Great feature palm in a pot or in a tropical garden 

• I grow to: Outside 30m high, 2.5m wide. Indoors 1-2m 

• Where to place me: Full sun to part shade

• Watering conditions: I am naturally found in the rainforest so I like to be kept moist 

• Soil Conditions: I can handle most soil types from sand to boggy wet areas

• My features: My new shoots and surrounding young leaves are edible
